1. What is the difference between dry ice blasting and sand blasting?

The cleaning method of sand blasting and dry ice blasting is roughly the same, but the only difference is that the workpiece cleaned with dry ice can be cleaned online. And sandblasting cleaning is easy to affect the precision size of the workpiece surface.

2. What will happen to the dry ice once it touches the substrate?

Once dry ice comes into contact with a substrate, it sublimates into carbon dioxide gas, which makes up less than 1 percent of the atmosphere.

3. What will happen to the dirt on the surface after cleaning?

One might think that the pollutants would disappear like dry ice, but that's not the case, the pollutants will fall to the ground when the dirt is removed.

4. Can dry ice blasting be used on hot molds or extrusion screws?

Dry ice blasting service is better for high-temperature places, and the cleaning speed is 3-5 times that of low-temperature places.

5. Will dry ice blasting damage the substrate?

Usually not, but it must depend on the material of the substrate. The combination of the coating and the damage to the substrate have their energy levels. When the energy level of the combination is lower than the energy level of the damage, there will be no damage, otherwise it will be damaged. . Usually dry ice blasting is used for cast iron, tool steel, aluminum alloy, chrome-plated surface, etc. Other soft materials such as plastic, pure copper, fiber, etc. can also be used, but it must be tested in advance.

6. Will the low temperature of -78 ℃ dry ice affect the substrate?

After testing, after the surface of the tool is sprayed with dry ice for 30 seconds, the temperature of the surface at a depth of 0.5mm drops to 9-10 ℃. Dry ice cleaning only moves quickly on the surface of the workpiece, so dry ice cleaning generally does not cause changes in the tolerance of the workpiece.

7. How to store dry ice?

We can provide customers with special incubators, which can generally be stored for 7-10 days, and the daily volatilization is about 5%.

8. How to get dry ice pellets?

When the liquid carbon dioxide is released from the high-pressure tank to the atmospheric pressure, it will become snowflakes, and then the snowflakes will be pressed into granules. Our Dry ice granulator can produce high-density dry ice of Φ3mm-Φ16mm.
